Talk:Charlene Downes murder

I decided to make this article as I have seen the case being used in discussions relating to race-related crime, Islam and Islamophobia, and nationalist and/or anti-Islamic organisations such as the BNP and English Defense League. However, I'm not sure how to approach this side of the case without the risk of the whole thing descending into cheap point-scoring, something that should obviously be avoided while discussing a child's murder. Can't you just link to the Wikipedia page? (I'm assuming there is one, I haven't looked it up.) The article doesn't look very mission-y to me at the moment.--ZooGuard (talk) 17:22, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
The Wikipedia article was deleted (something that's been brought up by BNP supporters as evidence of MSM censorship). There are a lot of conspiracy theories out there that could be added to the article (although, to be fair, the EDL's page on the subject is pretty level-headed) but, like I say, I'm not sure how to approach it in a sensitive manner. I think this issue should get as much exposure as possible. I don't care about this guy's background and I don't imagine many reasonable people do either. But the fact information is being suppressed, especially with an issue like this is repulsive. This isn't an Islamophobia issue. It's about justice and a free press.-Maeve (talk) 23:41, 8 August 2016 (UTC)

Top result in Google?[edit]

Is it me, or this article is the top result in Google for "Charlene Downes"? Which is a pity, because it's not developed and the current text of the article doesn't have an explicit connection to the mission.--ZooGuard (talk) 15:16, 9 December 2012 (UTC)
