Link to his website? ħumanUser talk:Human 00:26, 1 March 2009 (EST)

yep, will do Secret Squirrel 00:28, 1 March 2009 (EST)
Thanks... wow, his "hit counter" reads 4877. Srsly? I agree about the "not updated since 1998", though. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:40, 1 March 2009 (EST)
And most of his web site looks like an attempt to sell a few AM licenses... is this guy still on the air, really? ħumanUser talk:Human 00:42, 1 March 2009 (EST)
Yeah, I think he's on 3 or 4 stations now. He was on over 300 (if the Wikipedia article is to be believed) back in the day. Secret Squirrel 00:48, 1 March 2009 (EST)
I've caught a few of his shows recently - they stream live over the TalkStar Radio website (linked from his web page), weekday afternoons. Nothing like he was in the 90s. He used to be really savvy at the talk radio game and you could find him on 2 or 3 stations just from flipping through the AM dial. Today he mostly has guests from astroturf groups and obscure writers pimping their books, but doesn't seem to know anything about his guests in advance and wants to talk about something else. I can see why he's not on many stations anymore. It's kind of a boring show now. I used to find it really interesting in the 90s. Secret Squirrel 01:20, 1 March 2009 (EST)
Cool, thanks. Maybe I'll try to listen once or twice. Weekday "afternoons" in what timezone? IE, when, EST? ħumanUser talk:Human 02:51, 1 March 2009 (EST)
EST, I think 2 to 4 pm (or 1 to 3?) Secret Squirrel 07:23, 1 March 2009 (EST)

Chuck Harder is still listed as "living" on this Web site and others -- but I wonder. He has been extremely ill for a very long time, and he has not been on the air for a long time as well. He has had perhaps a dozen strokes and heart attacks since the early 1980s. What is really up with him? What is his status? — Unsigned, by: 166.137.244.95 / talk / contribs 22:23, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

I realize that this Rational Wiki post is under the "living persons" category.
But Chuck Harder is barely "living"; his near-death experiences are too numerous to mention. It's like he's another Terry Schiavo.

I think Chuck Harder has died. I estimate he passed away sometime after "Patriots' Day," April 19, 2016. — Unsigned, by: 98.204.64.65 / talk 16:34, 17 August 2016 (UTC)
"may have retired"? C'mon, dudes ... the chance he, er, really retired in the medical sense is quite high.— Unsigned, by: 166.137.244.86 / talk / contribs 23:34, 7 September 2016 (UTC)

Please see my comments at the end of the article. — Unsigned, by: 98.204.64.65 / talk / contribs 16:02, 11 November 2016 (UTC)

One more thing: Chuck Harder is an anti-Semitic bastard.
Want proof? From The Nation, April 10, 1995, Page 491:
"Here's the problem ... Jewish families have great respect for education and they are very close-knit. They launch their kids into the professions -- they become doctors, lawyers, bankers. And these kids decided they weren't going to get theirs the old-fashioned way their parents did. Instead they decided to grab it. And that's where this whole notion of greed, Jewish greed, comes in ... this is why if you go to Wall Street you'll see it's all Greenbergs, Sheinbergs and so on." — Unsigned, by: 98.204.64.65 / talk / contribs 15:51, 9 February 2017 (UTC)
You know, it's rather amazing (or infuriating, if like me you're a Chuck Harder antagonist) to realize how Chuck Harder has managed to "cheat the hangman" (stay alive) all these years.
He had his bad accident (slipping on a wet floor at his home) in 1999 which, after some botched medical coverage courtesy of his flawed health insurance carrier, put him permanently in a wheelchair or full-leg braces.
He has not been able to move around unassisted since then...and that was 18 years ago.
He has not driven a car since 2007...10 years ago.
He has not been out of bed since 2015...two years ago.
A year ago, he had his heart surgery followed by eight months in a nursing home.
Perhaps it's not my place here to wonder why he's still alive. But I am definitely not the only person who has ruminated over this fact. It is--dare I say it?--creepy. In a Twilight Zone or Stephen King manner. Something that keeps you up at night, or at the least wondering what the heck's going on with Chuck Harder.
Just some random thoughts. — Unsigned, by: 98.204.64.65 / talk / contribs 22:15, 12 May 2017 (UTC)
I wonder...who are the "powers that be" keeping Chuck alive? Doesn't California have laws against that, if there is no hope of recovery? — Unsigned, by: 98.204.64.65 / talk / contribs 14:32, 2 July 2017 (UTC)
In re: my comments at the end of this article, on November 28, 2017, I heard Keith Alan, who hosts the re-vamped "For The People" radio show online and on several AM and FM radio stations, state that Chuck Harder is unable to leave the nursing home.
That is significant.
Those who've marveled at Chuck's ability to recover from adversity will have to realize that he isn't coming back.
It truly is the end of an era. — Unsigned, by: 98.204.64.65 / talk / contribs 09:36, 30 November 2017 (UTC)
