Talk:Defense of Marriage Act
Caius[edit]
This is a very good article. Who is Caius? User:Nutty Roux/signature 02:25, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
- Caius used to be AmesG on RationalWiki, and is a retired user at the time. He is currently writing a blog, Submitted to a Candid World, if I remember correctly. ĴαʊΆʃÇä₰ the most colourful sig on RationalWiki! 02:28, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Full faith and credit?[edit]
A quick websearch find this page, and Wikipedia saying the Full Faith and Credit Clause doesn't apply to marriage, and this legal article saying it hasn't been interpreted to apply but should. So I think this article is wrong in implying the Full Faith and Credit Clause was a problem to one state not accepting other state's gay marriages. (It's still a problem, IMO, even post-Obergefell; if a man in Alabama marries a 14-year old and moves to California, does that 14-year old have the right of divorce or are they just legally screwed by the fact that California doesn't recognize their marriage?)--2600:8801:C00:DE4:458A:33B5:B82F:261C (talk) 02:04, 22 September 2020 (UTC)
