Talk:Egalitarian
this page should re-direct to "Feminism" instead of "Equality" because feminism is for an egalitarian society. anti-fem goons like to say "i'm not a feminist, i'm an egalitarian", so it makes sense for rationalwiki to redirect "Egalitarian" (and "Egalitarianism") to "Feminism". - Can someone translate this into English from word salad please? -EmeraldCityWanderer (talk) 21:28, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
Egalitarianism is a broad concept which can be applied to issues of class, wealth, gender, race, culture, leadership, etc. etc. It makes sense for it to redirect to 'equality', as it does, not to feminism or any other individual example. Mis-use of the term by anti-fem goons will be more appropriately treated at the MRA article. A mystery-meat redirect to feminism is an opaque way to address the issue, mildly annoying, and not funny. Alec Sanderson (talk) 21:56, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
- The Manosphere glossary has an entry for "equalism", a made-up word which seemed to be popular MRA-speak a few years ago. "Egalitarian" seems to be used more often now for the same purpose so should probably be added. ŴêâŝêîôîďMethinks it is a Weasel 22:11, 26 February 2016 (UTC)
- well, at least some good has come out of this. -Rottinginthemidwest (talk) 01:01, 27 February 2016 (UTC)
