2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Talk:Externalities

Externalities doesn't have to be dealt with by government. Machinery of Freedom and the concept of insurance are two examples of how to counter it. — Unsigned, by: 130.243.219.159 / talk / contribs 03:35, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

I've been a lurker for a long time, but I just couldn't bear the libertarian nonsense a BoN put at the end. I've undid the edit and reverted the article back to when it made sense. (That being said, it might be nice if we could work a legitimate discussion of the Coase Theorum into the article. It doesn't apply to a whole lot of things, but it's not a wholly worthless idea.) (Also, I'm not sure how to sign things or add to a talk page, this is my first time on a wiki. Forgive me if I do it wrong.) Typical Name (talk) 03:31, 26 April 2012 (UTC) Typical_Name
