2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Teh mission, this does not has[edit]

Why do we need articles about individual subatomic particles? What pseudoscience do they refute? How is authoritarianism critiqued by them? which logical fallacy uses them? At most, an article about subatomic physics would be fairly useful, but individual particles? No. I call Felidae on this. Shall I delete? SoCal 212 I can't find my talk page 21:07, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
If there's an article about how subatomic particles are misrepresented in pseudoscience, perhaps you could redirect it to that. Real first name and last initialTalk, talk, talk skim my contributions 22:55, 26 July 2011 (UTC)
I'll check it out SoCal 212 I can't find my talk page 02:07, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
So after looking over pseudophysics articles, it doesn't look like fermions belong anywhere. So shall we scrap? SoCal 212 I can't find my talk page 04:08, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
I was looking at Quantum physics terms and noticed that it has nothing really to do with pseudoscience, authoritarianism, or logical fallacies, much like this article. Obviously this one's more specific but if quantum physics terms is alright, how about fermions? (I know I'm going back and forth here...) SoCal 212 I can't find my talk page 06:15, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
Although a lot of us are scientists RW is not an encyclopaedia of science. I admit that some articles are mission borderline but misrepresentation of quantum physics is a common woo theme so the quantum physics terms just about scrapes in. Articles on individual particles is probably going too far. Redchuck.gif ГенгисYou have the right to be offended; and I have the right to offend you.Moderator 06:23, 27 July 2011 (UTC)
