Talk:Guy Debord
Clean-up[edit]
Thanks to whoever cleaned this up. I am new to wiki-editing and so the formatting is a bit lost on me. Screwtape (talk) 14:27, 16 September 2014 (UTC)
Poisoning the well[edit]
Debord notes in his short autobiography that he was an interminable alcoholic, so that may tarnish his "spectacle", so to speak. He was also an unabashed criminal of the thieving type and most of his acquaintances either died violent deaths or wound up in prison, according to him.
What the fuck relevance does this have to his ideas? And also to insinuate that the fact he suffered from a disease makes him lesser, somehow, is disgusting.
Instead of spurring on the revolution, he committed suicide in 1994.
Nice to see we're also making light of suicide now. Carthage (talk) 15:29, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
