Talk:Hero pattern
The description of Jesus here would only fit one of the primary sources:
"At his birth King Herod (6) tries to kill him, but he and his parents (7) flee to Egypt."
That story derives entirely from the Gospel of Matthew, in Chapter 2 from that work. In the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 2, there is another account of Jesus' birth and childhood. No persecution, no fleeing to Egypt, no Herod. The Gospel of Mark contains no nativity scenes and starts with an adult Jesus. So does the Gospel of John. The accounts of the Gospels are contradictory in this case. Dimadick (talk) 16:00, 30 March 2017 (UTC)
