2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

"Legal" texts in Eary Christianity[edit]

Is "legal" the right term here? Are we talking about legal texts (e.g. canon law, Roman law in the Late Empire once it came under Christian influence) specifically, or what we should call ethical texts (ones which discuss moral "law", but not the rules of any legal system)? If you mention what specific texts you have in mind? (((Zack Martin))) 08:46, 6 August 2011 (UTC)

From what "Eve's herbs" says, which is only one reference, the discussions were actually legal, legislative discussions. Not moral or ethical ones, though of course those likely supposed the legal ones. And I should specify these are pre christian laws of Rome, and not necessarily the "empire". I don't know either way, as "Eve's herbs" doesn't specify, and i've not traced down his sources. --Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 16:34, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

Brainiac[edit]

Oh come on, this article is much better researched than some of the crap with bronze brains. Phbt! (not that I actually care, especially since i can't spell worth a darn, and no one has really been "through" it for grammar and spelling etc. but i had to whine, cause we give bronze brains to all kinds of crappy stuff. hehe).--Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 16:36, 8 August 2011 (UTC)

"Bronze" basically means "someone has read it over and it's not total crap". Generally it can be stamped unilaterally. ADK...I'll bake your rabbi! 16:46, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
LOL, ADK, you do know i was joking, right? Hell, i'm still running back better references on everything. Feels like school again!Pink mowse.pngEn attendant Godot 16:53, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
Speaking of references, usually if I feel inclined to add {{reflist|2|90%}} to an article, that's a sign it needs bumped up. ADK...I'll forsake your communist! 16:57, 8 August 2011 (UTC)
