Talk:Jazz Jennings
Reform?[edit]
I may very late to the party, but I don't think we can assume that Jazz is Reform--yeah, they're the most trans- and queer-affirming, but Conservative Judaism has also made a lot of improvements in accepting queer and trans Jews. I know quite a few other queer and trans Jews who were raised in more observant sects who remain involved. Quantumgeek333 (talk) 22:09, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
On Judaism and not talking about it[edit]
I don't really have enough here for an edit on the main page, because it's more of a vague connection, but if anyone else wants to do the legwork, I have a feeling the fact that her show is on TLC, a channel that is very, VERY pro-fundie and specifically seems to have been heavily infiltrated by fundamentalist Mormon cults, plays in heavily to why she's not talking about her Judaism on TV. She's already putting a big enough target on her back by having a show on that channel while being trans (and a show that's actively pushed hard to the right as point-and-laugh material, no less); being trans and obviously Jewish might as well be signing her death warrant. 73.77.218.138 (talk) 07:00, 8 August 2022 (UTC)
