Talk:John Pack Lambert
I am John Pack Lambert. I am not from Utah, I am from Michigan. I did not create the jeans enthusiast category. My actual record of creating categories on Wikipedia is much more complex than this article suggests. The claim that I am an "Islamaphobe" is odd, since I have publicly expressed my support of the so called "Ground Zero" Mosque, as well as others. — Unsigned, by: 198.109.0.20 / talk / contribs
- Well, I went ahead and removed the Utah bit, since there's no reason to include it, and it's not cited. As to the Islamaphobia bit, it's a bit more complicated. I'm going through the reference for it, and I'm not sure whether it substantiates the claim or not. Your counterargument here about park51 doesn't make much sense to me. When I finish going through the translation of cite 1, if I don't find anything, I'll remove that claim as well. Is that adequate to you? Ikanreed (talk) 19:20, 30 January 2015 (UTC)
The claim that I created the "jeans enthusiast" category is false. If you look at [1] which contains the archived discussion of the jeans enthusiast debate, you will see I was one of several editors who nominated it for deletion. The claim that I created "racist" categories is not based on any factual investigation. The description of me as a "Mormon fundamentalist" is also without backing in fact. This is a pairing of words that have a very specific meaning when paired, and I do not in any way fit into the meaning of that pairing.
