About the 'civilisation' brochure - New page needed?[edit]

Giertych's views in his brochure Civilisations at war in Europe aren't his own. In fact they're from some particular historian beloved by the Polish far right.

His name is Feliks Koneczny, a race civilisation realist and totally not a Huntington ripoff. Mainly he stated that every nation belongs to some civilisation that determines it's moral compass and that no nation cannot be civilised in two ways and such. Also those civilisations are in the hierarchy along the "complexity of ethical system" and such high civilisation, left unattended, falls prey to the influence of lesser civilisations, creating amoral pulp and chaos. He did manage to claim that Hitler killed Jews in a Jewish manner (sic!), since nationalism, us vs them mentality etc. somehow is a characteristic of such Jewish civilisation. One step beyond claiming all totalitarianism is Jewish.

Koneczny also befriended the father of Maciej Giertych, Jędrzej - Koneczny reviewed positively Giertych's historical book (which claimed Poland lost independence in the 18th C. due to the influence of Masons and Jewish oligarchy) and gave him his manuscripts he couldn't publish in new communist Poland.

There was almost a new drama. State television (TVP) made an interview commemorating Koneczny's 70th death anniversary and they linked that interview on their FB page under the first news about Christchurch shooting. The title? Civilisations are not equal. Poland was once killed by multiculturality. They quickly deleted the post, so the only people who noticed were some antifa blog, some Muslim foundation and Polish "The Onion".

AFAIK there are only 3 somewhat scrupulous and short critiques of him (one of which is in some emigreé magazine which I don't have access to) and his theory IMO deserves to be smashed to the bits. What do you think? EvroultPartes (talk) 14:50, 6 May 2020 (UTC)
