Quotes[edit]

Storing these two here from the GLP thread.

You don't seem to understand how it works with sciences, so here is a quick explanation. The work your readers are discussing has not been published. The said licenses protect early preprints normally deposited for priority claims purposes and to foster discussion amongst scientists, not general public. Those licenses protect authors from exactly the sort of abuse your readers are committing now via your forum.

As a private person who retains publicity rights in full, I hereby demand removal from your website/servers of all instances ("posts") where my name is mentioned, in whatever context, as unauthorized. For obvious reasons you are advised to utilize search function in order to locate such instances, since there are too many to list here (more than 2000 as of today, according to [link to www.google.com]

Still pissed at us[edit]

...but apparently he has learned to use the Caps Lock key. From the latest incarnation of the "Masonic Haters" page:

GOOGLE'S RATING SYSTEM LOVES A LOONY NAMED TOULOUSE, A MASON FROM HAMILTON CANADA WHO OWNS A WEBSITE CALLED "RATIONAL WIKI" (OXYMORON). HE HAS SOME SORT OF INFERIORITY COMPLEX HE TRIES TO SELF-CURE BY SPEWING HATRED ON THE INTERNET. SO HE SCRIBBLES, AMONG OTHER GIBBERISH, ABOUT THE COMET ELENIN AND THIS AUTHOR TOO. FOR A TRULY REVEALING INFO ON WHO THIS STUDENT IS, READ: http://en.metapedia.org/wiki/RationalWiki. If you experience problems opening the link, here it is what it said before they started spoofing it:

The Metapedia fragment is something that popped up at a Omerbashich thread at GLP. I don't know if he found it there, or it was the other way round. It gets even better, though, I suggest following the link.--ZooGuard (talk) 11:38, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

That metapedia link should be captured for posterity. It's hard to imagine something which is wrong in so many ways. I also like that they have a big fundraiser on top along with the phrase about us "The site begs for donations". Wonderful irony.--Bob"What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence." 13:33, 23 May 2012 (UTC)

The parody paper[edit]

I think was aware of it at the time, but as usually, didn't have the time to include it. Also in the arXiv: Comment on "Astronomical alignments as the cause of ~M6+ seismicity", by a guy of the Patagonian Royal Society. :) Abstract:

It is shown that, according to the criteria used by M. Omerbashich (arXiv:1104.2036v4 [physics.gen-ph]), during 2010 the Earth was aligned with at least one pair of planets some 98.6% of the time. This firmly supports Omerbashich's claim that 2010 strongest earthquakes occurred during such astronomical alignments. On this basis, we argue that seismicity is, generally, a phenomenon of astrological origin.

And a hilarious discussion of the paper at ATS: http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread731696/pg7 "It supports Omerbashich" "No, it's a parody, and I have an e-mail from the author saying so." "Then the e-mail is fake!"--ZooGuard (talk) 07:24, 19 July 2012 (UTC)

DMCAing again[edit]

Musgrave has been hit with a DCMA again over the Omerbashich review. Oh, and the post links to this article. :) --ZooGuard (talk) 17:35, 30 September 2012 (UTC)

Still at it[edit]

What the hell is this[edit]

When ever I search on google about dr. Omerbašić (Omerbashich in english) I bump in your page first. Let me tell you, you have no idea what you are telling. Bosnia is very fortunate that we have people like dr. Omerbašić who is scientist top class and I hope our future king. But I want to ask this : how is always possible that only you very stupid insults about dr. Omerbašić come first in search? I think one possible explanation is that you are part of goverment, yes? Of course you can try answer with some " very funny " answer but that is point : you are not serios and still always come first in search. You say is all because of some comet and all but nobody become so insulted because studies of comets. Best regards from Sarajevo for now.— Unsigned, by: 185.13.241.241 / talk / contribs 12:23, 7 May 2014‎ (UTC)

Yup, I'm literately lighting my cigars with the $100,000 dollar bills I got from the NWO for this. It's good shit. --Revolverman (talk) 12:50, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
"how is always possible that only you very stupid insults about dr. Omerbašić come first in search?" Because you don't understand how search engine ranking works. Google tries to produce the most relevant results for each set of search terms. To do that, it uses both an analysis of the page's content and an approximation of its reputation by how many and what sites link to it. It's just that this is one of the few pages solely dedicated to Omerbashich on the Web, and it is a part of a somewhat popular website (RationalWiki), so Google's search results reflect that. --ZooGuard (talk) 14:11, 7 May 2014 (UTC)
No and I tell you why that is not as you say. Because as Google changing rules and aloritams very often and many small busineses complain all the time about this because it causing them to lose money. You can read about this on internet. So. What it means in this case that it is impossible that Dr. Omerbashich search always lead to you site because you can not change your rules same as google (wich are not published, as company secret ofcourse) so you can do best guess when google search changes , but not knowing for sure. Despite this search alwys goes to you. So you are the part of the same goverment programme as Google, no doubt any more. Now you smoke your cigarete if you want.
Literally cannot tell if trolling or insane. TeenageWasteland (talk) 16:47, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
If this conspiracy is as you say it is, then I have to ask: Why on Earth should Google care about Bosnia? There are far more profitable things they could be doing with their time other than tweaking their search algorithms to provide them with a political slant with Balkan states. - Grant (talk) 16:50, 12 May 2014 (UTC)
In fact, Google's market cap is roughly twenty times Bosnia's GDP... - Grant (talk) 18:14, 12 May 2014 (UTC)

DMCA complaint[edit]

Due to a DMCA complaint some material has been removed. A counter claim has been submitted and at the end of the 10 day waiting period material can be restored unless a court order is issued. tmtoulouse 01:18, 18 October 2017 (UTC)

New Wiki![edit]

Looks like someone made a competitor to try to outrank this page...

https://wiki.royalfamily.ba/wiki/Mensur_Omerbashich

A very poorly made competitor. I honestly thought I'd screwed up the page orientation on my tablet or something.

(Still new to wikis, but if I can figure out how to update on a Kindle I might add this development to the main page... I mean, he wants the attention, right?) Blue Sonnet (talk) 07:18, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
