Talk:New Testament
Bloom[edit]
There was a phrase at the introduction to the article that outright says Harold Bloom does not believe in the Historical Jesus. He does, but does believe in the depiction of Jesus in the gospels is extremely biased away from original man (who he does connect with many of the sayings in the gospel, but not many of the actions or elaborations on the sayings in the Gospels)
I don't mind noting the skepticism around the "Historical Jesus", but to say Harold Bloom outright denies the existence of a "Historical Jesus" is outright false, and would give readers a very erroneous idea of what to expect from Bloom's own (very interesting, very skeptical) writing about Jesus and the New Testament.--Asklepius (talk) 01:35, 15 September 2013 (UTC)
