This is one of the cases when no article at all would be better...--ZooGuard (talk) 08:25, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
- Reads like the crap that wanders round my head while I'm waiting for the microwave to do my burger. Why is it an article? SophieWilder 08:29, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
- It was on the To Do list. I had added it there some time ago. I was hoping for some discussion of logic, rhetoric and how different chains of reasoning can reach the "same" conclusion from different original premises. ("Same" in scare quotes because the same wording of a claim may mean different things/have different connotations for different people, especially if those people reached it though a different chain of reasoning.) I think that the concept deserves an article, because it explains the stopped clock thing and why people who agree on "the big issues" can bitterly disagree on the details.
- Of course, the current state of the article demonstrates that having a site-wide To Do list may just encourage people to shoot off a quick stub to remove an entry from the list, instead of going "oh, I've always wanted to write a long, well-researched article on this!"--ZooGuard (talk) 09:21, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

- Ditto. If you want to do an article but don't have the time today, make a to-do list on your userpage. If you thing some person or thing deserves an article but it's not your area of expertise, ask another user. It's time to mothball the to-do list. SophieWilder 11:30, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

- Yes, if you have a better idea of what to put in its place. SophieWilder 17:50, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
- An article on Gettier problems might work better. Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 18:12, 10 May 2013 (UTC)
