RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2019.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Plagiarized article.[edit]

So if one of my students handed this in, I would point to this and tell them they were in trouble. RaoulDuke 18:58, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

yes, your are right... but look also here: http://www.ariplex.com/nmwiki/index.php?title=License AnonG 19:17, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
I understand, but as is being discussed on the "Germanic" page, this article will probably need substantial work to make it a RW article--we tend to not want to simply reproduce another site's material. Where would the FUN be in that? RaoulDuke 19:42, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
The subject is definitely of interest to RW missions, but the biography is way excessive & I doubt that many people will want to read all of it. I reckon this & GNM should be merged, & also cut down a lot. If they're kept separate, they'll need to be a lot more concise. €₳$£ΘĪÐWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 19:49, 9 October 2009 (UTC)
I never thought it should be deleted as off-mission--I agree strongly it should be trimmed substantially and merged. RaoulDuke 19:51, 9 October 2009 (UTC)

Germ denialism[edit]

Isn't Hamer an adherent to germ theory denialism too ? I didn't have the guts to go through his webshites. I however debated with a die-hard Hamer fan/self-proclaimed oncologist who claimed that bacterias and viruses were actually just made up by Big Pharma (his reaction to pictures of the smallpox virus was very funny, by the way).
