2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

Rational wiki ?[edit]

Rational wiki ? the following quote from the 'Sodom and Gomorrah' page sadly doesn't support this. "Meanwhile, their level of compassion was on a par with that of Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin and your average Tea Bagger" — Unsigned, by: 161.43.80.242 / talk / contribs

I've now deleted that bit. ŴêâŝêîôîďWeaselly.jpgMethinks it is a Weasel 07:46, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Why is there no mention of Tall el-Hammam? That seems to be the most likely place that inspired the biblical story.

Islamic interpretation of the tale of Sodom and Gomorrah[edit]

The tale of Sodom and Gomorrah also exists in the Quran, and is quite different from the Christian version detailed in the Bible, seemingly more explicitly condemning Homosexuality; Would it be worth it to add the Islamic version to the article? TheOneAndOnlyCirrusMan (talk) 18:03, 7 May 2024 (UTC)
