Actually Napoleon was rather successful, he beat more than the Spanish and controlled most of Europe.--Bobbing up 03:36, 22 November 2008 (EST)

That sounds like a liberal myth to me. --AKjeldsenCum dissensie 06:45, 22 November 2008 (EST)
It's just that we say: However, after losing those colonies it became a rather weak power, until eventually Napoleon conquered it, proving how weak it was, 'cause if the French beat you . . . ............ . And the Napoleon bit may be a little hard on the poor Spanish.--Bobbing up 06:50, 22 November 2008 (EST)
Napoleon managed to beat EVERYBODY, at least for awhile. France was still a major military power. (Hell, France was a major military power until WWII, where they were outmaneuvered, and now are again. They're kicking pirate butt.) Researcher 08:55, 26 November 2008 (EST)
After Charlie Hebdo the "French are pussies" jokes have become somewhat stale, haven't they...? Pizzameister (talk) 18:21, 30 January 2016 (UTC)

Explain cut[edit]

So I have cut this new addition: "PSOE and Podemos do not have had a majority together in the current parliament and the other mid sized group (Ciudadanos) won't even consider any alliance where Podemos would get even a fraction of its agenda through."

It is hard to understand and even it were intelligible we are not a newspaper or a live blog.--Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 21:25, 2 November 2016 (UTC)

Politics[edit]

I could update the Spanish Politics/Catalonia but I would need to write a book - and it would be out of date by next week. That is another of the problems with have politics in the wiki. My inclination would be to delete all (or most of) the recent political detail.Bob"Life is short and (insert adjective)" 20:43, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
