Talk:Steve Bannon
What more is there to him?[edit]
The article has been created in 14 November, just after he was considered Trump's chief of staff. I've never heard of him. Some say he's a white nationalist himself, others who are personally acquainted defend him. Am I missing something, because I think he should've been reported on earlier.— Unsigned, by: IViking / talk / contribs
- Technically speaking, he's a paleocon. They assume that just about everyone an iota to their left is a cyrpto-commie being deceptive about their real politics and plotting to bring about a one-world Socialist state or NWO. Since they truly believe that every other political group is being dishonest and keeping parts of their program a secret, they feel justified in doing so as well. Chief Counselor[edit]
We should probably mention the fact that, since he's been made a permanent member of the NSC, he's now one of the most powerful men in America. Thoughts? RoninMacbeth (talk) 16:47, 1 February 2017 (UTC)
Evola reference[edit]
Bannon made a brief reference to alt-right/NRx idol Julius Evola in a speech at a conference held in the Vatican, but as even one neoreactionary pointed out, there's really no meat in that NYT article - just a reference. I don't think it's worth mentioning on here unless we can find more detail on what Bannon thinks of Evola.
If we do add it, though, there's potential for creative misspellings of Ebola's name.--Greenrd (talk) 20:40, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
- If it's a weak story or an ambiguous source, just cite it as such in the article — but cite it nonetheless (as it's clearly of interest). We're not about bending everything into a position where we can take silly pot shots at people. We're not ED. Reverend Black Percy (talk) 20:53, 11 February 2017 (UTC)
Is Bannon really the puppet master?[edit]
Everybody continues to say so on the Internet. Zionist Goy (talk) 01:16, 3 March 2017 (UTC)
- People say a lot of things on the internet, a lot of them true but a lot of them not. Christopher (talk) 09:30, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- So how do we know how big his influence really is? Is it bigger than Rove's or Cheney's back in the day? Zionist Goy (talk) 18:50, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- I have no idea. I have only a very vague understanding of US politics (i.e. I could name the current president and whether he was Democrat or Republican) the idea of the POTUS being a puppet of someone else sounds a lot like a conspiracy theory to me though. Christopher (talk) 18:54, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- this is a video from MSNBC alleging he's the most powerful person in Trump's White House. Zionist Goy (talk) 19:11, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- He could well be (I can't watch the video at the moment because it's really noisy where I am). As I said before I know nothing about the US political system. Christopher (talk) 19:20, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- Done a bit of research and looks like he is. Christopher (talk) 20:35, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- Wow, fascinating case you presented there. Rationalwiki really got the scoop on political bias and machinations. 92.27.173.236 (talk) 20:45, 4 March 2017 (UTC)
- No one was claiming to have scooped anything. Also I didn't really need to present a case as I was never planning to edit the article. Christopher (talk) 20:52, 4 March 2017 (UTC)

North Korea, stopped clock?[edit]
Would his opposition to the military option in N.Korea also be considered a stopped clock moment? S.H. DeLong (talk) 06:02, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
- Depends. Will publicly ruling out the military option make the Kims more likely to back down? Evil Zionist (talk) 20:21, 22 August 2017 (UTC)
Reference[edit]
@Carthage What does this reference have to do with Steve Bannon? He isn't even mentioned anywhere in the article. Rational Dude (talk) 11:34, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for explaining. I reverted your edit because you didn't explain why you removed the reference. I'll revert now. Carthage (talk) 12:07, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
- You’re welcome. I assumed you knew why I removed it, but next time I’ll explain my edits. Rational Dude (talk) 12:38, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
