Talk:Teleportation
My Thoughts (Which Many Here Might Not Like, But Still...)[edit]
Look, as far-fetched as I may sound, I personally believe actual working teleportation technology could be something worth looking into. Think about it for a moment: not only would such a boon benefit space travel, and of course interplanetary colonization, by bypassing the vast gulf of space obviously. But also solving problems on our own planet regarding overcrowding (space colonization helps with that, duh!) and, this is where some here would disagree, but hear me out, solving the problem of relocating the uh, "less desirable" persons of our society. Yeah, I know what you're thinking, bear with me though. Recent developments show things getting worser, even though going by the evening news is a poor metric, there's still a lot of turmoil out there. Now, imagine a way to simply "blink" away those most troublesome members of humanity (common thugs, career criminals, religious extremists, corrupt officials, annoying fandom denizens, internet trolls, etc...) on some distant, airless space rock? Or just on the surface of the moon? Picture it: the likes of both Daesh and North Korea's ruling class suddenly stranded within visual distance of our (speaking as an American) lunar landing site, sans protection or weapons, with the last thing they see is the things people like them could never hope to achieve. Okay, a pretty ludicrous imagining I admit. But something I still think is worth considering. Chair tater (talk) 03:44, 19 June 2017 (UTC)
