Of course it would be unlikely to catch on. But I don't think the point was to intentionally release a new meme into the linguistic world. Often authors invent new words specifically for use in illustrating a single concept in a single book and don't expect or need it to be adopted outside the book or discussions of the book. It's dawkins. I think he actually makes things worse by "making up stuff", then by addressing the problem. If this caught on, you'd now have TWO words to be tossed around by the non experts, adding more problems than you'll ever fix. Course his "meme" as a cultural bit of information (which i reject from the start as a misapplication of philo, cognitive linguistics, and social inculturation) has been picked up and (misunderstood) by every tom dick and harry to mean anything that someone else has said. So i guess he "knows his memes". sighs. I wish he'd just stick to sicence and stop trying to explain culture and god.
