Thanks, some questions then

Yeah, I was justing acquainting myself with your mission statement. I get that you are supposed to have a definitive point of view -- fair enough. I appreciate the ideal of the scientific method and of pursuing truth and evidence. And that's exactly why I take issue with some of the content on that page, which is neither honest nor evidence-backed. For instance, in the article I just edited, there's an erroneous comparison between Falun Gong (which is by all accounts peaceful, but which is badly marginalized and persecuted in China) and Aum Shinrikyo (an authoritarian, mass-murdering cult). I don't think that's a valid comparison, and it's certainly not one that I've seen any scholar make. What would you recommend?

It doesn't seem like a valid comparison, actually, it just got transplanted in my copy paste from the old version of the article.

Thanks. I'll try to tread a bit lightly on editing it too. Mind if I drop you a line if I'm not sure about something?

Feel free! And don't get too perturbed if all your edits are rolled back at once by an overzealous sysop; take it to the talk page and you'll probably get through.
