Okay, it looks like Fox unblocked you months ago. How long were you not going to tell me this? HenryS 23:45, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

My IP was still blocked. Seriously. However, my last couple of edits didn't "take" - did "nighttime editing" just get activated? Human 23:49, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
I have no idea. Welcome back. HenryS 23:51, 10 July 2008 (EDT)
I think it was just a cache issue, I see all the edits in my contribs. Thank you for the kind welcome, I hope I don't outstay it. Human 23:52, 10 July 2008 (EDT)

Here is my suggestion: stay away from editors who you know you will not get along with. If you have any issues, you can always ask me and I will help. Happy editing, its good to see you back. HenryS 18:56, 11 July 2008 (EDT)

  • You had better start making some contributions. Or else its re-block time! HenryS 19:05, 14 July 2008 (EDT)

Danish Writing Group[edit]

Here are some Dane articles you might like to start:

  • Dagmar Overbye
  • The Blekinge Street Gang
  • Mads Andersen
  • Jyllands-Posten

What is wrong with you? Are you ill? If not, start contributing. In fact, even if you are ill, you should contribute anyway. This online encyclopedia is your life and you know it. HenryS 17:45, 27 August 2008 (EDT)

  • ??? Your job is to write Dane-content. Stop this copyedit nonsense. I am begining to suspect you might just be a sock of Ames anyway... HenryS 22:08, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
I'm doing what I can. Understand, I am not an expert in Danishness, and have to research it. I the meantime, is it not helpful that I improve Andrew's history lectures, regarding grammar and formatting? Do you have "better" red links you'd like me to work on, oh master? Since some of the above seem, shall we say, trivial? Human 23:05, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
Mads Andersen trivial?! That's it! You're out of the loop. HenryS 23:18, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
So tell me why He/She/It matters... the stock exchange made sense, as did the cartoon controversy. But what are these other topics you demand me to work on? I challenge you, O'Henry, to show me what you have done to advance the cause of Danish Truth on conservapedia! Human 23:21, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
Sigh. Why do I have to explain this? I don't have time to advance the cause of DT. I am too important. Who else would block ames and remove his amescruft? HenryS 23:22, 28 August 2008 (EDT)
I deredded Mads Andersen. Although I enjoy watching Poker After Dark, I don't think CP wants an article about a professional gambler - not at least until he succumbs to his Hollywood Values. Human 20:08, 9 September 2008 (EDT)

This may be trivial, but I am going to try to rearrange danish so that it is first and foremost Danish... Human 12:56, 26 September 2008 (EDT)

Warning of blocking[edit]

The atheistic v. secular description was fully discussed and resolved in favor of atheistic. Don't revert my reversion on it again. Feel free to discuss on the talk page for public schools.--Aschlafly 23:27, 29 August 2008 (EDT)

I'm sorry, I didn't realize it had been hashed out before. I'll check the talk pages and their archives before making such edits in future. Thanks for warning me rather than just bringing down the hammer. Mostly I stay away from these more "controversial" articles and stick to safe topics... Human 23:30, 29 August 2008 (EDT)
I took a risk unblocking you, and now this?! This hurts. I have blocked you for a day. HenryS 03:25, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
Oh wait, I just realized that I never actually unblocked you in the first place, I unblocked Kjeldsen. lol. But your still blocked for a day anyway. HenryS 03:26, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
I unblocked you and now await your return with trepidation. HenryS 21:12, 30 August 2008 (EDT)
Ah, and you got my IP unblocked, too. Thanks. I've been away from Denmark a bit since I found this exciting list of red links. But one can never truly leave Denmark once you tasted her pleasures, can one? I just need to find a good resource to work from... Human 23:02, 30 August 2008 (EDT)

Whoa![edit]

I didn't know you were undead! HelpJazz 17:07, 9 September 2008 (EDT)

Of course he is, but did you know he is also Tay Zonday? SamuelHTD 17:10, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
Yeah, strange thing, eh? My username was unblocked sometime ago, but my IP remained blocked. Then one night Comcast assigned me a new IP adress, ironically at the same time that Henry was offering to unblock me so I add help with the DWG project, and I discovered I could actually edit again. I've got to watch out though, my more recent contributions have been a bit talk, talk, talk. Gotta find some more typos to fix or something... Thanks for stopping by to say "hello'! Human 17:13, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
No problem, nice to see you around. Oh, I mean, not that I know who you are. HelpJazz 17:32, 9 September 2008 (EDT)

sources

Hew, thanks for the great non-Danish articles! You really care about the DWG, don't you? Anyway, could you add at least a single source to your articles somehow, even though they are just stubs? A sourced article is far more credible. Thanks, HenryS 18:58, 9 September 2008 (EDT)

Sources? Qu'est-ce que c'est? Human 19:32, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
Please, use either Danish or English. HenryS 19:34, 9 September 2008 (EDT)
I think the source for most of the military ones I wrote was Apocalypse Now!. The USAFB ref is from me living "under" one. Strategy was from watching Karl Rove and Newt Gingrich succeed (to an extent). Now, can I have some Danskischen red links above for inspiration? Human 19:43, 9 September 2008 (EDT)

Please[edit]

I thought you were going to stick to mainspace POVless edits. I remind you of this only because I care about you not being blocked. HenryS 02:22, 19 September 2008 (EDT)

Well, sometimes I slip when I think someone is right. Anyway, back to the grindstone - actually, that "gang" redlinked above is pretty interesting. Thanks for the "warning", my friend ;) Human 02:42, 19 September 2008 (EDT)

Answer to your question[edit]

No, I did not. See here. And please feel free to expand the article. Philip J. Rayment 04:27, 25 September 2008 (EDT)

Hard to follow the thread, since I think some of it isn't on this site, but I think you meant your comment: "And third, it wasn't even directed at all Christians who believe evolution, but specifically the church representatives who publicly support or even teach evolution, most of whom are not scientists." IOW, the lay members are not useful idiots, it is the people in the heirarchy, people with "power" to dictate a church's position?
Personally, I think the article got off to a good start (with the CPUSA dupes being the origin of the phrase), but the religion/evolution part veered a bit off course. Surely we can come up with better "modern" examples that fit CP's mission? I doubt I could really help much, since my POV on an issue like this is about 180 degrees from CP's, so I'd be in danger of crossing the parody line if I tried to add much - like if I figured out way to describe, say, Obama supporters as useful idiots, without my heart being in it, what I write might seem facile, or, as I said, parody, to someone who really thinks it. What I will do, however, is list a few organisations that I think might be fodder for the "useful idiot" concept (ones that really do nothing for their supporters and just use them to advance an agenda which may not be truly in line with what the supporters think it is?) - PETA, GreenPeace, ACLU, NARAL (maybe), Planned Parenthood (probably a good one seeing how they are viewed on this site), US Democratic Party (of course), MoveOn.org, MADD, etc. All the article would need is a good example from the news etc. that supports the contention.
Thanks for taking the time to point out your position re: the religion/evolution example, though. Human 16:11, 25 September 2008 (EDT)
The discussion on my talk page followed the comments here, if that helps. Philip J. Rayment 11:18, 26 September 2008 (EDT)

Your user page[edit]

Very strange. Very very strange. Your user page was last deleted on 19th June this year, whilst you were on, umm, leave. Yet the deleted pages archive shows that you edited it numerous times up until 27th September. Why those pages are not still showing I have no idea. I guess that a database glitch is about the only explanation I can come up with. On the assumption that they were not deliberately deleted for offensive content, would you like me to restore the history of your user page? Philip J. Rayment 21:20, 13 November 2008 (EST)

Thanks for chiming in, Philip. I don't think I had put much there in the "recent epoch" - mostly just a note saying "yes, it's me" or something, to get rid of the red link. Although, I may have added more. I'm sure I didn't add anything offensive, what would be the point? If you can resurrect the history, that would be awesome, I could edit one of the earlier pre-deletion versions into something useful and explanatory, I think. I did store the raw wikicode of the version from May 07 before it was deleted, but it's much nicer to have the history itself intact. Thanks for the offer, and any time that you have a spare moment to do it would be fine with me. PS, it was a Sabbatical, yeah, that's the ticket! Human 22:35, 13 November 2008 (EST)
I think it's definitely a database glitch. I restored the history (159 versions), and it told me that they are restored, but they are still not there! When I look at the current history, it says that there are 159 deleted versions, but when I click the link to see them, it says that there is no history! Give me a moment and I'll try something else... Philip J. Rayment 01:03, 14 November 2008 (EST)
I deleted the page again, then was able to restore it properly. Philip J. Rayment 01:06, 14 November 2008 (EST)
Thank you for your efforts! Human 14:11, 14 November 2008 (EST)
Wow, I had forgotten that I had made that list of articles I created! There was a lot of work there, it's nice to have it back. Human 14:13, 14 November 2008 (EST)

I deleted your userpage last week. It didn't show up in the recent changes :( HenryS 18:42, 16 November 2008 (EST)

It didn't show up anywhere... even in the deletion log. Did you accidentally leave your database masking device on? Human 19:44, 16 November 2008 (EST)
No, it was one of those nights where the page would not load. HenryS 22:09, 16 November 2008 (EST)

I did check, thankyouverymuch[edit]

And I don't think I like your tone. HelpJazz 23:24, 15 November 2008 (EST)

Hey, it's slightly out of key, but still fits the style - and if I bend it a bit, it's close tot he right note. Anyway, all I meant is that when "fact checking" obviously vandalized articles, WP can be a quick stop on the way. Which is what stopped me from changing marz back to Rosenberg! What was that crap about lighters? Funny, but... wrong... Human 23:28, 15 November 2008 (EST)
I just missed it. Having to fact check every fact (including the tiny details) is hard work, you know? And anyways, who says I didn't use WP? ;-) HelpJazz 23:41, 15 November 2008 (EST)
Sorry, I didn't mean to imply you didn't, I was sort of commenting on what I did to check the name out... and, yes, going over an entire article to separate fact from fiction is a lot of work, especially if the fiction is subtle. Human 18:16, 16 November 2008 (EST)
And believable! (For the most part, anyway). HelpJazz 18:24, 16 November 2008 (EST)

Get to work[edit]

Did you forget that, despite what I said earlier, you are still a member of the DWG? HenryS 23:56, 20 November 2008 (EST)

Never! I will never forget!!! What are we working on these days, that infamous gang? A reworking of Hamlet? Human 14:32, 21 November 2008 (EST)
No, we need better coverage of 1920s Danish politics. Can you ask the Kjeldsen to come back? Tell him we need his help. HenryS 21:17, 21 November 2008 (EST)
Got any leads for me to follow? The 20s were so complicated! Human 23:41, 21 November 2008 (EST)
Can't you do anything on your own? HenryS 19:04, 22 November 2008 (EST)
Perhaps I'll look into a history of Danish monarchy, or maybe Danishness during the World Wars... Hmmmmm.... Human 19:17, 22 November 2008 (EST)
No, no, there is absolutely no need to bring up the World Wars. please. HenryS 19:23, 22 November 2008 (EST)

Thanks, Human. That was sweet. --Ed Poor Talk 19:01, 25 November 2008 (EST)

Can you write something about the role of the Danish during the Cold War? JFK made that Ich bin ein Berliner speech . . . ---Ed Poor Talk 19:03, 25 November 2008 (EST)

Award[edit]

Krigsmindenmedaille 1864 You are hereby awarded the Commemorative War Medal of 1864 for your service to the DWG.

HenryS 20:21, 25 November 2008 (EST)

Wow, thank you. I am humbled, and speechless! I would like to thank my parents, Madonna and the Pope... Human 20:30, 25 November 2008 (EST)
Not Christian IX??? I may have to block your account... HenryS 20:36, 25 November 2008 (EST)
The ellipses conceal a three-hour speech extolling the virtues of my many influences, most of whom are, of course, Danish heroes, leaders, and musicians. Human 20:38, 25 November 2008 (EST)
The ellipses in my comment conceal the phrase "I am aware of the three-hour speech..." HenryS 20:41, 25 November 2008 (EST)
I think if you check the transcript, Christian IX gets his due regards at about 2:24:31 - an unfortunate placement, as the preceding list of bricklayers and railroad engineers had a tendency to cause the stifled yawns in the audience to germinate into full-fledged sleep. Human 20:45, 25 November 2008 (EST)
Hmm, now I myself am speechless. HenryS 20:47, 25 November 2008 (EST)

[edit]

That is an interesting banner. HenryS 18:09, 26 November 2008 (EST)

I thought so. Do you like it, or just find it "interesting"? I forget now where I found it, it was in some user's subpage, although I mucked up the wording a bit. I keep trying to write yawn, but each time I think about it I get all sleepy... Human 20:47, 26 November 2008 (EST)
