There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity. |

I'm interested in science and academic biblical criticism and countering the often deceptively cherry-picked apologetics I encounter. I've found RationalWiki to be one of the first and best google results for quickly summarizing problems with bad apologetics and science denial. I would like to give back by contributing improvements to the articles to better address the claims and questions I run into. As my first edits were misinterpreted, let me say clearly that I am not a Christian apologist. I am interested in helping make fair and well-sourced contributions that aid the Rational Wiki's mission.
I'm new here so if you have any suggestions for how to better contribute or follow style guidelines, let me know.

Slavery in the Bible[edit]
- My first edits were reverted but I'm appealing to the reverter who I believe misunderstood my intent. --Near (talk) 22:05, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
- --Near (talk) 10:42, 2 August 2019 (UTC)They understood my intent after clarification and expanded it into its own section on prohibition of abduction being a hebrew only rule. Hurray.
