Eastern Lowland Gorilla vs African Lion.
A lion would likely win more often than not, but how do you think the fight would go down? — Unsigned, by: Gorilla beringei graueri / talk / contribs

- Realistically, the lion would avoid attacking this strange, massive human-shaped animal on its own, and the gorilla won’t seriously fight anything unless its life is in danger. Ignoring all that, the lion clearly wins. The gorilla has likely never had to seriously fight another species (or even a fellow gorilla) before, it’ll flail its arms and land a few good blows that’ll possibly break some bones but there’s no way it’ll kill or incapacitate before it’s too late. The lion knows how to kill something, it goes for the throat. The closest the gorilla would get to a win is the lion later dying from injuries. Christopher (talk) 23:06, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
@Christopher:::A lion would go for the throat, yeah, but it would be hard because gorillas have very thick necks. A gorilla would likely skull-bite as gorillas do that to eachother when they fight in the wild. Perhaps whomever gets the first hit would take the lead and ultimately win, but a lion would win 6-8 times out of 10. But, the lion would quickly realize that the gorilla is not easy prey. He has hands to grab a lion and throw him off of him. Quite unlike a zebra which can only kick/buck to get the lion off of him. Overall, I would say that the lion takes it after a very difficult fight.Gorilla beringei graueri (talk) 23:50, 12 August 2021 (UTC)
Bonobo future evolution[edit]
Researchers have noted that bonobos have similar body proportions to Australopithecus. They also have many similar behaviors to us and are even smarter than chimpanzees. They also walk bipedally much more than chimpanzees do. If they expand their range to the savanna in the future, would they evolve similarly to us? Of course, there would need to be a lot of bonobos living in the savanna, they would need a large gene pool as lions and hyenas and other predators would present a lot of danger to them. I'm just speculating, though. What do you guys think?Gorilla beringei graueri (talk) 21:26, 16 August 2021 (UTC)
Primate talk section?[edit]
What happened to the great ape sizes thing I did on the primate talk section? I can't even find it in the "fossil record" of the page. :/ Gorilla beringei graueri (talk) 05:16, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
Nevermind, I saw on the deletion log that it was deleted for spam. Someone put something about Derek Chauvin on the part about chimpanzee size and Plutocow deleted it. It's fine tho. Gorilla beringei graueri (talk) 05:28, 8 March 2022 (UTC)
