Nice post, Mei! I thought many of the same things when I read it. But just wait, it gets much, much worse. Tetronian you're clueless 01:13, 31 March 2010 (UTC)

How bad could it possibly be? <- hubris Mei (talk) 03:57, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
Trust me. At the end there's a 60 page speech that'll have you banging your head against the wall. Tetronian you're clueless 11:36, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
I already read that bit when it appeared on Fun:Libertarianism (or wherever it was). That was what gave me the idea. That bit is going to be pretty annoying though. Sixty whole pages with nothing to criticize except gibberish. Mei (talk) 04:21, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Mei reads nasty book so I don't have to. I'm enjoying your style of writing. It's a good mix of pedantry and comedy. I recently bought a compilation of Marvel comics from the late 80s and thought the dialogue a bit odd. It's not enough to yell "oof" when Magneto uses his powers to fling someone at a wall. Instead they'll say something crazy like "Magento is using the metal in my belt and boots to fling me at the wall. Ooof!" Totally implausible dialogue that really isn't needed by anyone who's looking at the illustrations. Seems Rand had a similar problem with painfully stating the obvious; the end result being stilted dialogue that sounds more like androids from the future. Good luck on your descent in to madness. --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 12:14, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
"Magento is using the metal in my belt and boots to fling me at the wall. Ooof!" - Oh god, that's genius. Mei (talk) 04:21, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
Interesting Ayn Rand fact: she has a book about how to write [1]. I think I actually know a library that has a copy, too. I think I've read it, but I'm not sure -- I can remember bits of the book, but I don't remember how I remember it. It might be fun to dissect alongside Atlas Shrugged. Just don't read too much at a time. When you do, the book starts to make sense, and then it takes a few minutes to snap out of Randroid mode and back into reality. Tetronian you're clueless 18:26, 31 March 2010 (UTC)
You only say that because you deny reason is the primary tool of man. Mei (talk) 04:21, 1 April 2010 (UTC)
I question the entire basis of this dissection. Couldn't you at least charge us something for reading it? --ConcernedresidentAsk me about your mother 22:22, 2 April 2010 (UTC)

Twelve[edit]

Incidentally, there is an error in the page. I say "thirteen words" when there are actually twelve. Unless I've miscounted again. Normally I can count, I assure you. Mei (talk) 04:21, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

OH NOES!! 12 =\= 13!!! A is non A! Everybody panic! </Rand joke> Tetronian you're clueless 22:56, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
