heads up[edit]

In response to your comment in my latest thread let me note this. Ever since I came to this site I stated in no uncertain terms that I'm a nihilist and nihilists abstain from the game of ideas as they have very limited faith in anything. So if the idea of a political label for everyone was implemented I'd simply use "apolitical". In fact, I don't think contemporary political parties even deserve to be seriously considered "ideological". There are three forces in the west. An establishment beholden to banks and plutocrats, an isolationist nationalism, and a feckless humanism that is struggling merely to avoid the worst possible outcomes. The "ideas" that those forces represent are a low-quality mush of irrelevance. Modern "ideologues" are people like journalists, personae like Milo and social media commentators.

That being said, I toy with the idea of an eco-totalitarianism, a world in which either the US or China, the only suitable countries, seize with force the world's resources, eliminate all other states and declare sovereignty over the entire earth. I believe this would be the only way to prevent the world from entering a new stone age because of energy and resource depletion, eco-degradation and climate chaos. But since I'm probably the only person in the world to come up with this, you'd not call it a 'discernible' ideology. Gewgtweg (talk) 17:13, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
