Harriet Hall
This might be Skepticism |
But we're not sure |
Who's asking? |
Harriet A. Hall (also known as The SkepDoc) is a retired American family physician, blogger, and skeptic. She writes for the pro-science blog Science-Based Medicine, and has published a book titled Women Aren’t Supposed to Fly: The Memoirs of a Female Flight Surgeon. Unfortunately though, she has been criticized by trans rights activists in comments sections for promoting excessive caution over medical procedures including hormone treatments and gender reassignment surgeries for trans people and even went as far to cover for transphobic Pseudoscience as of July 2020. [1][2] [3] One of her articles, for instance, gives cover for the garbage transphobic pseudoscience of autogynephilia, which is alarmingly tied to the TERF movement, under the pretense of not shooting the messenger.
