Don't forgot Bruce Lee and Brandon Lee—classic Hollywood deaths! Star of David.png Radioactive afikomen Please ignore all my awful pre-2014 comments. 00:48, 9 June 2008 (EDT)
Details for the lazy as is I? They surely belong. Hollywood brings so much more than a lousy cancer of breast... ħumanUser talk:Human 01:04, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

Thesis[edit]

I contend that being "famous" is almost always lethal, due to mostly accidental weapons of drug cancer, and less often but still commonly, bullet cancer (lead poisoning). Surely only 100 or so people have ever been famous, as I am sure you will logically agree, and here is list of a bazillion of them and how they died due to their "fame values". ħumanUser talk:Human 03:21, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

Moer[edit]

Ian Curtis (Joy Division), largely defensive weapon of rope. Marc Bolan, largely defensive weapon of car-attacking tree. Phil Lynott (Thin Lizzy) largely defensive weapon of needle in arm. DogP 03:48, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

How could I forget Love Will Tear Us Apart!?!?!?!?!?! (I have the 33/45!) I will dig up the other two and add them, too, in my largely defensive hours of not getting anything done "later" today. Thanks!!!!!!! ħumanUser talk:Human 05:22, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

Isadora Duncan - largely offensive weapon of scarf. Boris Yeltsin - largely offensive weapon of vodka. Robert Maxwell - largely defensive weapon of Meditteranean. DogP 16:25, 10 June 2008 (EDT)

Structure[edit]

I was thinking of sorting these by the largely logical year of death, with a few exceptions for ones that should be next to each other for macabre humor (such as Cass and Carpenter). Or should I alphabetize them? Or sort by largely fatal method of dying? Hmmmm. ħumanUser talk:Human 15:33, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

Reverse alphabetical order by the middle initial. Start with diagonal colours. <font=""; face="Comic Sans MS">Jellyfish!Nobody likes nothing. I certainly wish with all my heart that it did not exist. 15:47, 9 June 2008 (EDT)
I hadn't thought of that, thanks! ħumanUser talk:Human 15:56, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

I think you'd be better off saying Mama Cass was killed by a Largely Defensive Weapon of Sandwich. DogP 16:04, 9 June 2008 (EDT)

I know, I know, but two things - one, that's a rumor, really, and two, it's appallingly funny to list Ms. Carpenter right after her for dying of the opposite reason. Any other ideas how I can add the LDWo meme to both of them without breaking the "joke"? ħumanUser talk:Human 16:37, 9 June 2008 (EDT)
LDWo Food; LDWo No Food SusanG  ContribsTalk 00:20, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
Feel free to edit it... good idea though :) ħumanUser talk:Human 00:31, 16 June 2008 (EDT)

Purpose?[edit]

While I started this mostly as a mockery of Schlafly's list of breast cancer victims, I wonder if it has any future here. Does anyone think I should move it to a public namespace and let the mob play? ħumanUser talk:Human 15:59, 15 June 2008 (EDT)

The Burroughs line is a thing of beauty. The Cass/Carpenter gag is pretty fucking good, too. Make a Hollywood Values page and point to it from there. ;) --Robledo 21:09, 15 June 2008 (EDT)
Thanks... a lot... if it's only purpose was those two jokes, I'm satisfied (if I can't be smert, I can at least be funny!). I appreciate your input, Robledo :)

Also, I would like to open this to editing by anyone, while we figure out if we want to bother with a permanent home for it. ħumanUser talk:Human 00:16, 16 June 2008 (EDT)
