2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

I've been going through LeftyTube (e.g. ContraPoints, Some More News, Philosophy Tube), and seeing increasing ambivalence towards concepts such as liberalism and republicanism. I mean, perhaps I shouldn't worry about what YouTubers think. But if the mainstream American Right can be dictated by 4chan, what is to stop the reverse from happening to the left? So, in the face or increasing dissatisfaction with liberal democracy, can it be preserved?

Perhaps more importantly, should it? RoninMacbeth (talk) 23:57, 14 November 2018 (UTC)
