The Brits have occupied Ireland for 800 years, and will do so for another 800 years if they aren't stopped. Do you think that the Brits should pull out of Ireland? my view is an unreserved yes, they are a cancer, an Imperial relic, who have always stood in the way of my countries freedom. Furthermore, their Free State lackeys in the South are British tradesmen in Imperial garb. Until ireland achieves a 32 county socialist Republic, she shall never be at peace. While we hold the graves of our fenian dead, Ireland unfree shall never be at peace! Ourdaywillcome (talk) 17:44, 6 June 2010 (UTC)

Sure they should, but I'd rather be an Irishman living under British rule than a Palestinian living under Israeli rule/a Chechen living under Russian rule/a Darfurian living under Sudanese rule/a Burman living under Burman rule, etc. etc. Moreover, I'd rather put the nationalism aside entirely and concentrate on the social justice aspect of such a project. If the end result is a bunch of Irirshmen living under neoliberal Irish rule, then really, whatever. P-Foster (talk) 18:06, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Even Sinn Fein doesn't care any more in practice. Anyway, you're all in the EU now - David Gerard (talk) 18:59, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
