Prevent is a policy introduced in 2003 as part of the CONTEST post-9/11 counterterrorism approach. The program aims to identify and support individuals who may be susceptible to Radicalization with the aim of preventing them from becoming terrorists. It has been criticized for Islamophobia and usage to suppress non-terrorist movements.
