hmmmm...[edit]

I think you're missing the ways in which CP was, for a brief shining moment, a place where a certain degree of debate could and did happen. Folks like PalMD, Huw, Ames and Hojimachong actually were able to force Andy et al. to justify and argue for their crap. At one time, the banhammer was not automatically wielded with such spiteful abandon at the first sign of dissent. It didn't last long, and there was still a lot of BS going on, but the place was way more different from what it is now in a way that this essay really needs to capture. Several RW members were members and even sysops early on. It was the (d)evolution of CP that gave birth to RW1 I am eating Toast& honeychat 01:55, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
I'm not as well-versed in CP history as I'd like to be...I'll do some digging and make some corrections. Tetronian 01:58, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
Good luck with that. I think a lot of it has been memory-holed. You might try archive.org though...RaoulDuke 01:59, 28 September 2009 (UTC)
