2025 RationalWiki 'Oregon Plan' Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff—we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.

If you think my position is wrong, please point out specifically where you think I go wrong. Dismissing it with nothing more than "antisemitic diatribe" is a sign of intellectual laziness, prejudice, or both. ThoughtCrime1969 (talk) 09:43, 18 August 2013 (UTC)

I didn't read the essay before it was removed, and I do not intend to use my awesome ability to go have a peek, for several reasons:
  1. I consider Weaseloid a responsible editor whose judgement I am willing to trust in this matter.
  2. If you consider Jesus to be a fictional character, railing against some fiction of support for his fictional state-sanctioned murder is a forlorn hope.
  3. If you consider that murder to have been historical fact, may I suggest considering the item above one more time.
Pointing out further specifics will be a waste of time. Sprocket J Cogswell (talk) 10:17, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
You believe Jesus to be fictional? How certain are you in this judgement? What is the probability that you are wrong and he is not? And what about others who do not share your belief, might they not have some interest in the essay? ThoughtCrime1969 (talk) 10:58, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
