What the fuck is "the Jewish question"? Scream!! (talk) 11:04, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

All questions regarding the role that Jews have played in human history should be open to rational debate. To me, the Jewish question is what precisely that role is. ThoughtCrime1969 (talk) 11:09, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
I'd think that the "Catholic Question" or the "Protestant Question" or even the "Christian Question" or, why not, the "Religion Question" would be more relevant today. Scream!! (talk) 11:17, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
To me, Judaism, Christianity and Islam together form one great poisonous tree that is poisoning humanity. But Judaism is the root from which the other two great branches have grown. By attacking the root, we attack the other two branches. That is why I focus on Judaism: as the origin of Christianity and Islam, and the origin of many of their worst aspects, it bears responsibility for their crimes. Find somewhere else to play, please (Stormfront for example?). You'll get zero sympathy here for your Jew bashing. Scream!! (talk) 11:25, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
What is "Jew bashing"? Is it done with baseball bats, iron bars, bare fists? Or does it mean criticizing the religion of Judaism, which is what I am doing. And I have nothing in common with Stormfront: my criticism is of Judaism as a religion, of Zionism as a political ideology: I do not condemn people simply on the grounds of their biological descent, as Stormfront does. "The Jewish Question" - you obviously misspoke, you meant "The Judaism Question" - totally different and nothing to do with the Jewish people? Scream!! (talk) 11:37, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Who are the Jewish people? People who follow the religion of Judaism; also, some people who don't follow it any more, but whose ancestors did, and still maybe have a certain degree of allegiance to it. A person who has Jewish ancestors but who doesn't follow the Jewish religion, and does not affiliate with its post-religious replacements such as Zionism, how Jewish really are they? I have Jewish ancestors myself, but I don't call myself "Jewish": no one in my family has practiced Judaism, or had any other "Jewish" affiliation, in well over a century. (EC) If you think that Christianity is part of a "great poisonous tree" but then try and assign blame for the death of its founder to modern Jews then your stated motives are disingenuous. Redchuck.gif ГенгисGum diseaseModerator 11:39, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
I don't hold Jesus responsible for Christianity. I believe that Jesus was a good man who tried to convince his fellow Jews to turn from evil but they would not listen to him. His followers then turned to the same evil he had sought to turn others away from. ThoughtCrime1969 (talk) 11:46, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Genghis - I am in danger of demonstrating Godwin's Law - help! Scream!! (talk) 11:42, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

May I recommend Evidence for the historical existence of Jesus Christ. Religion of whatever flavour is bunk. Scream!! (talk) 11:52, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
To quote that article "Historians focusing on this era generally accept that there was likely some fellow named Jesus who lived in Palestine roughly two millennia ago, had a very small following of people studying his views, was killed by the government for some such reason, and whose life became pivotal to some of the world's largest religions." I agree. ThoughtCrime1969 (talk) 11:57, 31 August 2013 (UTC)

Why am I blocked?[edit]

If you disagree with my edits, how about explaining in detail what is wrong with them, rather than just blocking me? I created an article about a real Israeli academic historian of some note, what is wrong with that? I added a brief mention of his views to an article, without having the article endorse them. I also added the entirely accurate point to that article that Jews are not the only people in history to be victims of a blood libel, Christians among others have also been victims. And I tried to clean up the highly inaccurate "theology" section. While Jewish law does prohibit (in most cases) consumption of human flesh and human blood, Rabbis say that the cited Torah passages do not teach that, and that the teachings are either based on other Torah passages, or on Rabbinical decisions: if you do not believe me, how about reading up on the topic instead of rushing to judgment. Is anything I have added untrue? ThoughtCrime1969 (talk) 23:09, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
