Not bad! Also needs sections for Plutocrats (hates regulation just as much as Libertarians/Fiscal Conservatives, but don't care if taxes on OTHER people are hiked through the roof, as long as they get some of the pork), the For The Chiiiiildren!!!-ists, and Islamophobics (The new Red Scare). --Gulik 00:53, 7 January 2009 (EST)
- Thanks. Feel free to add them if you feel they can be differentiated enough from existing types. This is basically on open piece; I only put it in the essay space for lack of anywhere else. DickTurpis 12:31, 7 January 2009 (EST)
- I added Islamophobe, but I didn't do the others since I don't really know how to sum them up well. The difference between the plutocrat and the fiscal conservative might just make the former a subset. It also seems to me that they "for the Chiiiiiildren!" types might be culture warriors (which needs expansion anyway). Wanna take a shot at it? DickTurpis 11:14, 8 January 2009 (EST)
- I'd suggest calling this "Types of American conservatives" or something. Doesn't have much in common with the conservatives we have around here. --AKjeldsenCum dissensie 11:19, 8 January 2009 (EST)
- Well, it is sort of based on CP. Perhaps you could add a section on European Conservatives (Eurocons?)? Or I'm thinking maybe the paleoconservative is more the Danish type? DickTurpis 11:25, 8 January 2009 (EST)
- I would add, but my classification would basically require a wholesale rewrite...Nebuchadnezzar (talk) 06:10, 20 May 2011 (UTC)
