Forum:A talk page is locked, and I am unable to discuss a change with the rest of the site.

http://rationalwiki.org/wiki/Talk:List_of_Gamergate_claims The main article is not locked, but the talk page is, so I am now caught in an edit war that will last until I'm either given a means to discuss the change or am banned. — Unsigned, by: BraindeadSlob / talk / contribs

You can normally discuss things on the other user's talkpage too (speaking of which, there happens to be a thread about this very topic at the bottom of my talkpage at the moment). And the article talkpage is only autoconfirm-protected, so you should be able to edit it soon enough. 142.124.55.236 (talk) 02:17, 14 March 42016 AQD (UTC)
Unlocked. It will be relocked if necessary. Fuzzy "Cat" Potato, Jr. (talk/stalk) 02:25, 14 March 2016 (UTC)

Why, exactly, would a talk page be locked, but not the article??? Lord Aeonian (talk) 07:12, 14 March 2016 (UTC)

I had been wondering about that too. I believe it was because GGers were doxxing people on the talk page (why the hell they didn't do that in the article itself is not clear).--JorisEnter (talk) 07:15, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
Probably both have been locked and someone either forgot to unlock the talk page when the article was unlocked or forgot to set the same expiry date on both of them. ScepticWombat (talk) 07:17, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
