Forum:Math articles

We have a ton of math related articles that while not "on mission" seems a general consensus to keep. With that in mind, I'd like to propose a formula for each of the math articles. I would like to see the intro section list 1) the general math or science field that uses this formula, "pure math", statistics, physics, etc., and 2) why it's important, interesting or additive to the general knowledge. Nothing complex, but just a "incase you tripped here, this is why we love this formula". Then go into the template with "this shit is way complex, so you might get a headache" that many of them already have. Could we do something like that? And I'm not suggesting an great and grand overhall. Just if you happen to be editing, keep in mind that most of the readers don't know high math, and a quick sentence or two about what this "thing" is for, and why you all think it's uber cool, would be nice. I keep running into Ehler's formula, as an example. And as a casual person, i'm just curious "what's this for". Uh, what high level math? Тytalk 22:02, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
You mean that stuff is all things I should have learned in math class. ok, it's just me and forget it. heh. Pink mowse.pngGodotAround, around, around, around, over, and under and through 22:03, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
I was making a joke. I'm in a math heavy major with a math heavy minor. :P Тytalk 22:06, 1 December 2011 (UTC)
