Sup, Goats? I floated this idea on the Facebook page, but I'm gonna do an interest check here as well. As some of you may know, it's election season in Soviet Canuckistan and I had this crazy idea of starting a political party for rationalists. Personally, I wanna know if anyone is actually serious about it and if so, how far can we take this thing? I'm hoping for the best BORT (talk) 23:12, 5 October 2015 (UTC)
- Well, it'd be cool if there actually existed such a party. I'd say go for it. 142.124.55.236 (talk) 23:23, 5 October 42015 AQD (UTC)

- Nah, rationalists are like libertarians. They're generally intelligent but they don't like the actual politics of politics which is full of human beings. With human beings comes irrationality and rationalists hate that. Scott Alexander is a perfect example, dude gets scared when large groups of people support some political cause. - You have a pretty big point right there that I was thinking about recently. In politics, one has to be flexible in their position in order to make deals; not saying that any of us can't, but it may cost us credibility as capital-R "Rationalists." So... maybe the goal would be to pick a different name and have rationalism as a stance that the party embraces? BORT (talk) 13:47, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
- Every party on Earth already claims to be the actual sensible ones, though. 141.134.75.236 (talk) 17:51, 7 October 2015 (UTC)
