Forum:Templeton Foundation
Hey,
For various reasons, I'm looking into the Templeton Foundation - they've funded a bit of research that seems really sketchy to me, and I want to have a vague idea about what they're really about, where they get their money from, and so on. I saw that RationalWiki had an article on them, so I figured one of you guys might know something that isn't immediately obvious from their website. In particular, I'm interested in knowing where they get the majority of their money from, and if they fund any sketchy research that they don't explicitly say they fund. (In particular, the stuff I'm looking into involves viewing "Willpower" as an expendable resource that you can run out of. Any researchers they fund related to studying Willpower and Free Will would be interesting.)

- Good. We need a takedown of their funding of anything that could breathe "science" into religion. Mʀ. Wʜɪsᴋᴇʀs, Esϙᴜɪʀᴇ (talk/stalk) 03:47, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Their funding would appear to come from an endowment $3.34 billion [1] so in theory they fund them selves. SolPyre (talk) 04:52, 17 October 2015 (UTC)
- Run out of Willpower? Sounds insane and probably stupid. Good things there just quacks (I hope)--Steampeng MK.1 (talk) 04:16, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
