Sorry, but WTF? I vote for deletion. There's great places for musical material, but this isn't one of them. DogP 13:04, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- Can't quite see how it fits into the site's philosophy or objectives I must admit.--Bobbing up and down 13:18, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- I say leave it. It's not like we're running out of server space, are we? --SockOfGulik 13:20, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
True, but that's not the point. 1) There's much better articles on this - or any other - band out there, that are much better maintained - see Wikiepedia. Not a lot of point competing with that; 2) No-one comes to RW for musical info; 3) Next thing we'll be having articles on The Crazy Dogs; 4) Arf Arf DogP 13:25, 7 September 2007 (CDT)

Nah.... Delete. DogP 13:25, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- I vote ACD if it was an RW editor's original work - I hate to see efforts simply thrown away just because they don't fit our mission. Not mainspace, though. And merge that Greg Graffin piece into it? humanbe in 13:47, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- ACD for me.--Bobbing up and down 14:27, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
Fair 'nuff! DogP 14:35, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
greg graffin talk merged[edit]
It's great that you're a big BR fan, but why not go and improve the Wikipedia article instead? This isn't really the appropriate forum. And I like BR. DogP 13:05, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- Yes, we're not actually a music site.--Bobbing up and down 13:19, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
To coin a 'Bell Curve' metaphor, it's the thin end of a wedge. If we have this, even in ACD, then we open the doors to every single damn band that ever existed and their (wonderfully - I count myself amongst them) obsessive fans. I don't think it's smart to dilute RW. DogP 13:41, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- The only reason I suggest ACD for this and the BR article is that AHT is also making decent edits, or trying to, elsewhere in real articles. In other words, the editor is not just using our wiki to write about their favorite band and nothing else. Time will tell on that one, of course. We could also merge them and pare it down to how it relates to our mission and leave it at that. humanbe in 13:51, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- I'm for ACD on this one. I doubt that ACD will fill up with bands stuff - anyway that's partly what ACD's for. And also the author probably wasn't fully aware of our mission when he wrote this piece and it would be a bit hard on a new author to immediately scratch his opus. (And those of us who've had scratched opuses know how painful that can be.)--Bobbing up and down 14:32, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
What H & Bob said! Concurrrrrr. Susan Jayne Garlicktalk 14:39, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
Or shall I have articles on Annie Lennox, Charlene Spiteri, KT Tunstall etc etc. ? Susan Jayne Garlicktalk 14:45, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- Your evil alter ego makes records as well Susan. We should put her up.--Bobbing up and down 14:48, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
Ha! I'm the EVIL one. Susan Jayne Garlicktalk 15:23, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- Yeah? teh teh teh. Don't frighten me. (Nice to see you're doing the housekeeping) :-) --Bobbing up and down 15:27, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
MCP swine! :-) I've gone minimalist -> SG 15:32, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- Nice work on the ACD move and cleanup! Meanwhile, our new friend has been working on the site, so I'm really glad we were gentle with them. humanbe in 15:35, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
- Yes, it's always nice to see some new names throwing their hats in.--Bobbing up and down 15:38, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
'swhat I thought I'm feeling a bit guilty over Taiwan Boi - don't want to unnecessarily upset anyone with good intentions. SG 15:44, 7 September 2007 (CDT)
Thanks for the cleanup (deletion) H, I forgot (my bad?). I thought the tunafish might like to rearrange the article - so I just left it. sg 20:22, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
- YVW. As far as the article, it's a wiki. And, it looks like he means to make paragraphs, but doesn't use two "enters", so I did that. I'm not rewriting it, just trying to make it more readable. I was mostly in there to add the cat, and copyedited the section I had open while I was at it. Hopefully tuna boi checks his watchlist and learns these things - also, hopefully (haha, as if any of us do!), he will return to his creations and improve them as well. humanbe in 20:29, 8 September 2007 (CDT)
