In Marmite related news today, I am delighted to announce that with my fresh, new jar of Marmite (replacing the previous, 3 year old jar, as the stuff doesn't ever expire), I am looking forward to Marmite on toast with my breakfast tomorrow. First thing in the morning, a quadruple espresso and a slice of toast slathered in Marmite. I'm almost going to go to bed early to hurry getting to that fantastic moment. - Here in Australia its all Vegemite, which is fine, but I'm from NZ and need my Marmite fix. Rad McCool 07:37, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- I'll have to try Vegemite and NZ Marmite at some point so I can join a side in the holy war.
- What's annoying me is that I've never bought the stuff before because it's always in big pots and I didn't want to spend good money on something even the makers say I have a 50% chance of disliking. This weekend found me in a hotel courtesy of my employers while I was working late on a project. At breakfast, there were little two-portion pots of the stuff so I decided to try it on the grounds it was now free.
- In other words, if there were much smaller pots in the shops, for say 20p or so, I'd have been a convert years ago. –SuspectedReplicantretire me 08:33, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
