Qur'an 44:1[edit]

Ha, Meem.

Qur'an 44:1 Notes[edit]

Mysterious letters that make the Quran seem...mysterious.

Qur'an 44:2[edit]

By the Enlightening Scripture.

Qur'an 44:2 Notes[edit]

There are so many blatant scientific falsehoods in this book, can you really call it enlightened?

Qur'an 44:3[edit]

We have revealed it on a Blessed Night—We have warned.

Qur'an 44:3 Notes[edit]

Is this one of the, guy claims to have been in a cave and a voice told him all of this and we should believe it was an invisible god?

Qur'an 44:4[edit]

In it is distinguished every wise command.

Qur'an 44:4 Notes[edit]

I don't think it's wise to believe nonsense without evidence.

Qur'an 44:5[edit]

A decree from Us. We have been sending messages.

Qur'an 44:5 Notes[edit]

Delusional voices in a man's head are messages?

Qur'an 44:6[edit]

As mercy from your Lord. He is the Hearer, the Knower.

Qur'an 44:6 Notes[edit]

Is Allah merciful?

Qur'an 44:7[edit]

Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you know for sure.

Qur'an 44:7 Notes[edit]

The world was created through a long physical process that needs no god.

Qur'an 44:8[edit]

There is no god but He. He gives life and causes death—your Lord and Lord of your ancestors of old.

Qur'an 44:8 Notes[edit]

Actually humanity has drempt up millions of Gods. Allah is not special (nor any less fictional than the others).

Qur'an 44:9[edit]

Yet they play around in doubt.

Qur'an 44:9 Notes[edit]

They are skeptical that the fictional gods they believed in were not as real as the singular fictional God others believed in?

Qur'an 44:10[edit]

So watch out for the Day when the sky produces a visible smoke.

Qur'an 44:10 Notes[edit]

You mean the day invented to scare people into believing in this religion?

Qur'an 44:11[edit]

Enveloping mankind; this is a painful punishment.

Qur'an 44:11 Notes[edit]

Allah is only "Merciful" to those humans who kiss up to him constantly.

Qur'an 44:12[edit]

“Our Lord, lift the torment from us, we are believers.”

Qur'an 44:12 Notes[edit]

He still gets off on people's desperation either way.

Qur'an 44:13[edit]

But how can they be reminded? An enlightening messenger has already come to them.

Qur'an 44:13 Notes[edit]

Muhammad was far from any "enlightening messenger" in any sense. He knew jack about the world around him and cares even less about other human beings. This abusive warmongering slaveholder is far from any "enlightening messenger" in any sense.

Qur'an 44:14[edit]

But they turned away from him, and said, “Educated, but crazy!”

Qur'an 44:14 Notes[edit]

This verse refers to an accusation that he got his ideas from other humans instead of getting them straight from Allah.

Qur'an 44:15[edit]

We will ease the punishment a little, but you will revert.

Qur'an 44:15 Notes[edit]

Ceasing belief in this nonsense is more "enlightening" than anything in this book.

Qur'an 44:16[edit]

The Day when We launch the Great Assault—We will avenge.

Qur'an 44:16 Notes[edit]

Muhammad still uses this fictional day as a threat to get strict obedience from his followers.

Qur'an 44:17[edit]

Before them We tested the people of Pharaoh; a noble messenger came to them.

Qur'an 44:17 Notes[edit]

This story is about a person named "Pharaoh" and not any of the many leaders of ancient Egypt with the title of Pharaoh.

Qur'an 44:18[edit]

Saying, “Hand over Allah’s servants to me. I am an honest messenger to you.”

Qur'an 44:18 Notes[edit]

Does any evidence point to Moses ever existing, much less being "an honest messenger" as this story says?

Qur'an 44:19[edit]

And, “Do not exalt yourselves above Allah. I come to you with clear authority.

Qur'an 44:19 Notes[edit]

Those pharaohs demonstrably existed, unlike Allah. Also, what "clear authority" is this Moses character even talking about?

Qur'an 44:20[edit]

I have taken refuge in my Lord and your Lord, lest you stone me.

Qur'an 44:20 Notes[edit]

Moses sincerely believed in Allah and was willing to get stoned for it. What does that prove?

Qur'an 44:21[edit]

But if you do not believe in me, keep away from me.”

Qur'an 44:21 Notes[edit]

This is a fairytale in the Quran, so the bad guys can't just let Moses be wrong and must instead persecute him.

Qur'an 44:22[edit]

He appealed to his Lord: “These are a sinful people.”

Qur'an 44:22 Notes[edit]

The "sinful" part is simply that Pharaoh didn't immediately believe Moses.

Qur'an 44:23[edit]

“Set out with My servants by night—you will be followed.

Qur'an 44:23 Notes[edit]

Allah could just keep these people safe without forcing them to leave their homes.

Qur'an 44:24[edit]

And cross the sea quickly; they are an army to be drowned.”

Qur'an 44:24 Notes[edit]

Allah could, at the very least, leave any evidence indicating than an army drowned in that sea after a group of migrants crossed it.

Qur'an 44:25[edit]

How many gardens and fountains did they leave behind?

Qur'an 44:25 Notes[edit]

Why is this specific detail remotely relevant to the story?

Qur'an 44:26[edit]

And plantations, and splendid buildings.

Qur'an 44:26 Notes[edit]

Why are these specific details relevant enough to be split across more than one verse?

Qur'an 44:27[edit]

And comforts they used to enjoy.

Qur'an 44:27 Notes[edit]

The Quran frequently condemns people who enjoy the luxuries of this world. Muhammad ironically did exactly that at the expense of his followers.

Qur'an 44:28[edit]

So it was; and We passed it on to another people.

Qur'an 44:28 Notes[edit]

Muhammad's hypocrisy shouldn't, however, get in the way of a terrible story.

Qur'an 44:29[edit]

Neither heaven nor earth wept over them, nor were they reprieved.

Qur'an 44:29 Notes[edit]

The earth and sky are both inanimate and thus not capable of weeping or mourning.

Qur'an 44:30[edit]

And We delivered the Children of Israel from the humiliating persecution.

Qur'an 44:30 Notes[edit]

Muhammad, meanwhile, commanded Muslims to inflict "humiliating persecution" upon disbelievers.

Qur'an 44:31[edit]

From Pharaoh. He was a transgressing tyrant.

Qur'an 44:31 Notes[edit]

So was Muhammad.

Qur'an 44:32[edit]

And We chose them knowingly over all other people.

Qur'an 44:32 Notes[edit]

Allah doesn't even know basic history.

Qur'an 44:33[edit]

And We gave them many signs, in which was an obvious test.

Qur'an 44:33 Notes[edit]

How "obvious" were any of them? Humans may never know.

Qur'an 44:34[edit]

These people say.

Qur'an 44:34 Notes[edit]

This had to be its own verse for some reason.

Qur'an 44:35[edit]

“There is nothing but our first death, and we will not be resurrected.

Qur'an 44:35 Notes[edit]

In the absence of any evidence, they are correct in saying that.

Qur'an 44:36[edit]

Bring back our ancestors, if you are truthful.”

Qur'an 44:36 Notes[edit]

This act of necromancy would do a lot more to prove Allah real than anything that ever happened in reality.

Qur'an 44:37[edit]

Are they better, or the people of Tubba and those before them? We annihilated them. They were evildoers.

Qur'an 44:37 Notes[edit]

Allah also needs to remind the reader how "Merciful" he really is.

Qur'an 44:38[edit]

We did not create the heavens and the earth and what is between them to play.

Qur'an 44:38 Notes[edit]

Allah didn't create anything at all from the looks of it.

Qur'an 44:39[edit]

We created them only for a specific purpose, but most of them do not know.

Qur'an 44:39 Notes[edit]

What "specific purpose" could this be? Could it be for an allegedly omniscient being to test people despite already pretending like he knows anything?

Qur'an 44:40[edit]

The Day of Sorting Out is the appointed time for them all.

Qur'an 44:40 Notes[edit]

Could it be to give people a shred of normalcy before torturing almost all of them?

Qur'an 44:41[edit]

The Day when no friend will avail a friend in any way, and they will not be helped.

Qur'an 44:41 Notes[edit]

Allah claims to be more merciful than any other being to ever exist.

Qur'an 44:42[edit]

Except for him upon whom Allah has mercy. He is the Mighty, the Merciful.

Qur'an 44:42 Notes[edit]

He contradicts his own claims by limiting this "mercy" to those who bow to him constantly.

Qur'an 44:43[edit]

The Tree of Bitterness.

Qur'an 44:43 Notes[edit]

Many trees produce bitter fruits.

Qur'an 44:44[edit]

The food of the sinner.

Qur'an 44:44 Notes[edit]

This specific tree is meant to torture people forever because Allah's maximal mercy can only cover a small handful of humans who worship him and nobody else.

Qur'an 44:45[edit]

Like molten lead; boiling inside the bellies.

Qur'an 44:45 Notes[edit]

Allah and not Satan is the one who promises to torture them forever.

Qur'an 44:46[edit]

Like the boiling of seething water.

Qur'an 44:46 Notes[edit]

Love this god or face his sadistic wrath forever!

Qur'an 44:47[edit]

Seize him and drag him into the midst of Hell!

Qur'an 44:47 Notes[edit]

Worship this god! Do it or suffer infinitely! Allah is good, by the way!

Qur'an 44:48[edit]

Then pour over his head the suffering of the Inferno!

Qur'an 44:48 Notes[edit]

While you're at it, be sure to obey Muhammad's every command! This is important!

Qur'an 44:49[edit]

Taste! You who were powerful and noble.

Qur'an 44:49 Notes[edit]

Muhammad is only a messenger of the most merciful being to ever exist. Those who disagree get to suffer Allah's wrath forever.

Qur'an 44:50[edit]

This is what you used to doubt.

Qur'an 44:50 Notes[edit]

Simply doubting this nonsense is a one-way ticket to Hell.

Qur'an 44:51[edit]

As for the righteous, they will be in a secure place.

Qur'an 44:51 Notes[edit]

By "the righteous", Allah refers to those who believe his specific brand of nonsense and no other.

Qur'an 44:52[edit]

Amidst gardens and springs.

Qur'an 44:52 Notes[edit]

Being spared an agonizing eternity in Hell is more than enough of a reward.

Qur'an 44:53[edit]

Dressed in silk and brocade, facing one another.

Qur'an 44:53 Notes[edit]

Both of those exist in this world.

Qur'an 44:54[edit]

So it is, and We will wed them to lovely companions.

Qur'an 44:54 Notes[edit]

This is despite Muhammad claiming that women predominantly ending up in Hell, at least according to Sahih al-Bukhari 6449. He also claims that Hell is predominantly for ungrateful women who don't put their husbands above them according to Sahih al-Bukhari 29. Both are ranked Sahih, which is the most authentic ranking for any Hadith and thus considered no less reliable than the Quran itself according to most Muslims.

Qur'an 44:55[edit]

They will call therein for every kind of fruit, in peace and security.

Qur'an 44:55 Notes[edit]

Simply criticizing Muhammad's misogyny is also a one-way ticket to Hell. His believers are supposed to openly appreciate and emulate his misogyny, not criticize it.

Qur'an 44:56[edit]

Therein they will not taste death, beyond the first death; and He will protect them from the torment of Hell.

Qur'an 44:56 Notes[edit]

Would anybody get bored after the first googolplex millennia in Heaven? It certainly beats Hell, but would an eternity there not grow tiresome eventually?

Qur'an 44:57[edit]

A favor from your Lord. That is the supreme salvation.

Qur'an 44:57 Notes[edit]

Allah will only save you from himself if your entire existence is dedicated to him.

Qur'an 44:58[edit]

We made it easy in your language, so that they may remember.

Qur'an 44:58 Notes[edit]

While different sources provide varying figures, most agree that less than a quarter of Muslims worldwide even speak Arabic at all, much less well enough to understand the Quran.

Qur'an 44:59[edit]

So wait and watch. They too are waiting and watching.

Qur'an 44:59 Notes[edit]

Translation: I'm right! You're wrong! Just you wait and see! When this magical day comes, you'll all see that I was right the whole time!
