There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.
If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2021.

RationalWiki:User:Copyvio's campaign to stop copyvio
We use. That's fair. PFoster 13:58, 17 February 2008 (EST)
- Unless Mr. Copyvio presents links showing that these are not GFDL or PD, I suggest just reverting the silly templates. Or is it incumbent upon us to dig out where we got the images and tag them more clearly? human 14:12, 17 February 2008 (EST)
As an advocate of copyright (I have them and I'll exercise them if I find any violations of my works), I must point out that parody falls in a specific spot in copyright laws. This site has a particular affinity to that area. --Shagie 15:28, 17 February 2008 (EST)
- Even were you to claim that you were using the images as "parody" under Fair Use, it takes only a moment to see that you are not in fact doing so, but are using them as decoration/illustration of unrelated information. As a copyright holder, you would, of course, know this. Copyvioistheft 15:42, 17 February 2008 (EST)
- I dunno about all the images, but the pirate ones are illustrating on-topic parodic articles. human 15:44, 17 February 2008 (EST)
