RationalWiki's 2019 Fundraiser

There is no RationalWiki without you. We are a small non-profit with no staff – we are hundreds of volunteers who document pseudoscience and crankery around the world every day. We will never allow ads because we must remain independent. We cannot rely on big donors with corresponding big agendas. We are not the largest website around, but we believe we play an important role in defending truth and objectivity.

If everyone who saw this today donated $5, we would meet our goal for 2020.

Fighting pseudoscience isn't free.
We are 100% user-supported! Help and donate $5, $20 or whatever you can today with PayPal Logo.png!

Deleting this, and moving it to the Cancer page. There really isn't much "meat" here for Rationalwiki. But it's a good link. Pink mowse.pngGodotDear god, fucking grow up 21:38, 19 January 2012 (UTC)

Please be careful[edit]

I dislike creating articles just to fill a list (though I admit I've done it), and I'm extra uneasy about medical articles written by non-specialists, especially if the topic is something more serious than cupping. Please do be careful.--ZooGuard (talk) 21:48, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

  • There are significant gaps in our coverage of cancer woo. When I was going through the pages of CANCERactive's website I looked up a lot of the quack cures here and found most of them missing. If the aim is to be the go-to resource for the reality-based community (which I hope it is, and that's a noble aim) then these do need to be created. The real experts are bust at SBM and the like, so it is down to us interested amateurs to do the work. JzG (talk) 23:20, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
I'm not too concerned, zooG. we are not advocating anything, and are just summarizing what is out there, through reputable sources. If you see something specific, please jump all over us, so we know where your concerns are leading you and us. --Green mowse.pngGodot She was a venus demilo in her sister's jeans 23:27, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Should it be italicized/italicised? Since it is the name of a pogrom program (old joke, don't worry about it). ħumanUser talk:Human 23:40, 1 December 2012 (UTC)

Which reminded me of Breaking Glass, which I will now go and play on my iThingy. JzG (talk) 10:14, 2 December 2012 (UTC)
