Talk:Adding epicycles
This should be...[edit]
This should be at most a few sentences in ad hoc. On a second look, that article's crap too, so...--ZooGuard (talk) 07:12, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Cleaned up the article to reflect the fact that "Astronomers added epicycles to epicycles" is a myth.ChrisB (talk) 04:19, 29 November 2016 (UTC)
I have heard that making a perfect model of the Ptolemaic vision of an Earth-centered universe is possible with roughly 75 epicycles. The last ones are to accommodate relativity. Stars circling around the Earth? of course that violates the speed of light, so stellar distances must be miscalculated. Somebody must have had too much free time.Occam's razor is severely violated. Ihope that this is a joke.Pbrower2a (talk) 07:15, 16 May 2022 (UTC)
