Here's the SGU episode with Alex: http://media.libsyn.com/media/skepticsguide/skepticast2007-12-12.mp3

(Wow. That seems like aeons ago.)

The Monstertalk interview is here: http://traffic.libsyn.com/skepticality/170_Skepticality.mp3 Show notes: http://www.skeptic.com/podcasts/monstertalk/11/11/15/

It's not pretty.

I hope these are of some use to someone with more time to contribute.— Unsigned, by: Llewelly / talk / contribs

Truther[edit]

[1] I would mention it, but there isn't really a good place for it, and it's not actually all that noteworthy with all the other cruft his overpowering crank magnet has accumulated. I suppose if someone can be bothered compiling a list - David Gerard (talk) 18:35, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

I'd add that in recent episodes (around 198-200, I think especially in 199 but I'd have to go back and listen to it), Alex has clearly implied that he's an anti-vax'er, something of a global climate change denier, and a few other things. -Stuart

Alex Tsakiris = Enrique Vargas?[edit]

Hi guys,

is there any evidence that "Enrique Vargas" is indeed a sock account of Alex? If so, I think it should be cited. If there is not, and it is only a speculation, I think the statement that Enrique = Alex should be deleted from the article until there is solid evidence for it. Otherwise it's just an unevidenced accusation, and I think we, as skeptics, can do without that. Let's leave the unevidenced claims to the woos.

What do you think?

Regards, Ivin

Episode 180 had Enrique Vargas as the interviewer. At this point (and I see already that it was removed from the article), I think it's safe to conclude that Alex ≠ Enrique. -Stuart — Unsigned, by: 71.237.88.126 / talk / contribs

Ectoplasm cheesecloths are real, skeptics are employed by the CIA[edit]

I have been investigating spiritualism for over 40 years with my friend in real life Alex Tsakiris. We have proven that ectoplasm cheesecloths are scientific evidence for an afterlife. All mediums including Helen Duncan and the most notorious medium ever William Roy were actually genuine. No medium has ever been caught in fraud. Fox sisters, Mina Crandon, Davenport brothers all 100% genuine. Anything paranormal and I will believe in it! Critical thinking is for pseudoskeptics. Science education is not needed as I have never had any, because science is a scam, it is funded by the CIA. All skeptics are employed by the CIA, anyone who disagrees with my spiritualist beliefs is automatically a pseudoskeptic who is wrong. I am Open Minded. I will believe like my friend Alex Taskiris in psi no matter what the evidence this is why I am known as Open Mind. Skepticism it is a major conspiracy theory of the CIA. Evolution never happened it was a hoax. I have debunked many skeptics including the lawyer Arouet.

I mean no offence either, drink wine, be merry, celebrate ...for psi exists. Alex Tsakiris is the man, he's got the skeptics on the run! Open Mind (Mind-Energy forum poster with nearly 7,000 posts) Regards. [2] Open Mind Spiritualist (talk) 19:58, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

I bet the chemtrails made you say that - David Gerard (talk) 21:34, 28 September 2013 (UTC)

Disturbing quote from Alex's wife[edit]

In this post Alex's wife wrote something horrible http://forum.mind-energy.net/skeptiko-podcast/1385-skeptiko-random-stuff-thread-363.html#post161770. It should be included in the article because Alex is always talking about how "spiritual" he is. This side shows something much more disturbing. Shen1986 (talk) 20:23, 19 February 2014 (UTC)
