Mission?[edit]
This was created by a certain wannabe prophet (or a sockpuppet impersonating him, I already lost track) in 2011, and then mission tagged in June this year without anyone bothering to write anything on the talk page. So, any reasons to keep this? Anyone up to saving it?--ZooGuard (talk) 19:17, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
- We don't need articles on every atheist who ever was. Unless someone wants to develop it, kill it. PowderSmokeAndLeather: Say something once, why say it again?. 19:23, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
- What her said. If Swinburne's atheism had some significant impact on theist or atheist thought or movements, it might be worth covering. As it stands, it really just states that he was an atheist, & doesn't serve any purpose. ŴêâŝêîôîďMethinks it is a Weasel 07:17, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
- He was also something of a paper partisan for revolutionary movements, and a partisan of Garibaldi and the House of Savoy, particularly in Songs before Sunrise. I'm not sure how holding any of these opinions gets him in, though. Do we have Alfred, Lord Tennyson yet? The fellow whose In Memoriam gave us "nature, red in tooth and claw" and was an early meditation on the meaning for human life of evolutionary theory, surely deserves an article before Swinburne; and I'm not sure that's enough either. - Smerdis of Tlön (talk) 17:23, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
