Talk:Amalekites
I'm advocating that this page be deleted cause 1) i have no idea what the point of it is, 2) it has virtually no relevance to anything at wiki, and 3) it is either too much or way to little goat, cause what little facts there are, are hidden entirely. If the rooms says "keep", i'll at least make it somewhat factual. En attendant Godot 19:30, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- I think the point of it is, it is a common criticism of the Tanach/OT, that it seems to repeatedly advocate genocide against the Amalekites, whoever they were. Is criticising the Bible off-mission? (((Zack Martin)))™ 19:38, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

- Human cockroaches? "are they real?" (and worse, "NO".) It's sloppy misinformed bunk. About something no one knows much about unless they have been forced by profs or icky Sunday School Teachers to read in Judges. (and let's be honest, folks... how many of you have really ever read judges. ;-) En attendant Godot 20:07, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- I read the whole bible(NIV) twice, the old testament 3 or 4 times. Judges was one of my favorite books, along with 1&2nd Kings. Тytalk 20:20, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- I'm impressed. I slept through the histories. En attendant Godot 20:30, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

- If it floats your boat! I found them *almost* as dry as some of the obscure letters of "paul".En attendant Godot 21:16, 6 September 2011 (UTC)
- I think it also had something to do with a teenager's raging bloodlust, and dreams of an American Inquisition. Тytalk 21:19, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

- {ec}Maybe it's a bit obscure, but it does certainly fit into RW's mission of exploring pseudoscience and fundamentalism. Also, that comment from Netanyahu skims the authoritarian thing--User:Brxbrx/sig 20:22, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Edomites[edit]
I'm having trouble finding the relationship between the Amalekites and the Edomites, who were also descendents of Esau and also Biblical villains. There are claims that Europeans or European royal families are decended from Esau/Edom, as well as talk about fake Jews descended from Edom.[1]sau-is-not-just-a-stor/ The Edomites also crop up in various mystical traditions like William Blake and Emanuel Swedenborg.[2] --Gospatric (talk) 13:02, 2 March 2018 (UTC)
