I didn't know there are photographs of him in Wikicommons.Civic CatTalk to Civic Cat 23:44, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Empty article[edit]

It mostly seems like someone's hatchet job. The Jackson Era - which led to the Lincoln Presidency - was an incredibly important time in US history, as the Presidents took more and more power and responsibility. This article as it stands is a piece of crap. ħumanUser talk:Human 05:58, 23 April 2014 (UTC)

So quit your whining and edit it. Unless this is merely another one of your attempts at infantile conservative self-victimization.Lucas Don Velour (talk) 15:17, 29 August 2017 (UTC)
Agreed, however it is kind of difficult for me to imagine how to write an article on the man. Take the Indian Removal issue, he was not genocidal, the article is correct in that, if you read what he himself wrote about the removal you will see that he honestly though he was helping the Indians by removing them. However it was, as categorized even by his contemporaries, ethnic cleansing (which I might add was not considered a negative back then, it was seen as a potential way to prevent what came to be known as genocide). So how can that subject be approached? That is just one incident. His entire political and military career is filled with controversy even by the standards of his own time. So we re-write the Trail of Tears thing. What else would improve the article?Civic CatTalk to Civic Cat 19:04, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

The entire article is laden with unsourced allegations. Desperately needs many additional footnotes which can corroborate (if true) the slanderous claims. Slings and Arrows (talk) 02:43, 1 January 2015 (UTC)

Gotta prove they're slanderous.Civic CatTalk to Civic Cat 21:09, 14 January 2015 (UTC)
No, actually see the burden of proof is on the person who says the things first. If you say something you have to back it up. You have to prove you're right, someone else doesn't have to prove you're not wrong. Burkean (talk) 06:13, 2 April 2015 (UTC)
